Kamandi, The Last Boy on Earth

Kamandi certainly wasn't the first post-apocalyptic tale - the Victorians wrote them as well - but it is the one infused with Jack Kirby's astounding imagination. This is volume 2 of the hard cover series of reprints.

Now we just need Thundarr vs. Kamandi, and we'll be all set.

Fiend Folio

My undisputed favorite among the AD&D monster books, largely thanks to the evocative artwork of Russ Nicholson.

Dungeon Master's Guide

Okay, technically I already own this one, so I'm too cheap to buy another copy.

This is easily one of the most useful books a role-playing gamer can own, regardless of what system they use. It's also an artifact of the halcyon days of the hobby, from just before a weird game enjoyed by bearded men became a money-making phenomenon.

Osprey Men-at-Arms - a Celebration

The work of Angus McBride, among others, has made the Osprey line of military history books famous.

Our Friend the Atom

Produced as a companion to an educational film about atomic energy by Walt Disney. Lovely art.
